About Me

1984 Los Angeles Olympics, Torch Relay

I have been writing and acting since 2009. My first book, A Spoonful of Grace: Mealtime Blessings in Bite-Sized Pieces, was a Silver Medalist in the 2018 Illumination Awards, Parenting and Family category, awarded for exemplary Christian writing.

Eternity through the Rearview Mirror: How Simple Faith Changes Everything: Seventeen Extraordinary Lives was published in 2019.

My latest theatrical production, Women Warriors, was adapted from Eternity through the Rearview Mirror and received, I’m grateful to say, rave reviews during my pre-Covid three-week run at the LifeHouse Theater in Redlands, California. Still in production is my role as Eleanor Roosevelt in Tea with Mrs. Roosevelt.

Currently I’m in the process of writing Lesson Plans to accompany videos of each of the seven women portrayed in Women Warriors.

Prior to writing and acting, the bulk of my career was spent in water management, with the last seven years as General Manager of a water district in North San Diego County. I have an undergraduate degree in business from San Diego State University and an MBA from CSUSM. A San Diego native, I live in Poway, California with my husband Monte. I love to read and write, of course, but also love to play the piano, read and study the Bible, and travel.

That’s me after I ran in the Torch Relay from Olympia, Greece to Los Angeles, California. My part was a 5/8 mile in North Park. What a memory! At the time I worked for Mesa Distributing; many thanks to owner Ron Fowler for giving me the opportunity.
